Who doesn't need suggestions for different, out-of-the-way or secret places to smooch? Kisses define romance and on Valentine's Day, where there's a lot of money spent on dinner, candy, flowers and bling, kisses don't cost a thing.
So load up on them. Take as many as possible from the love buffet. And don't stop kissing until dawn.
Natural Places to Kiss the Guy or Girl
- Build a campfire in the woods, where it’s permitted of course. Feed each other smores and lick each other’s lips.
- Try the swing set in a park. Have the guy sit on the bottom and the girl straddle and face him. Kiss each other for a long time.
- When it’s raining, grab an umbrella, the sweetie and a kiss.
- Head for the bleachers at the local high school, wrap up in a blanket and kiss.
- In the middle of a bridge, on the sidewalk, overlooking the water.
- On a secluded bench in the local rose garden.
- At the ice skating rink.
- Seek out the most frisky and romantic animal pairs at the zoo. Teach them a thing or two about kissing.
Unexpected Places to Kiss
- At a party, in the host’s bedroom, on top of the pile of coats thrown on the bed.
- On the airplane, when it’s powering up the runway, just about to take off. See if the kiss can last until the plane has been in the air for 20 seconds.
- Still at the airport – but dropping off someone or picking them up. When the sweetie gets out of the car or advances to the car, throw it in park for 10 seconds, jump out and plant a big kiss on the guy or the girl. Duplicate the airport scene in the movie, Love Actually.
- On a bear rug (or an animal print throw if there’s no bear rug) in front of the fireplace, with candles all around.
Dramatic Kisses Surprise the Date
- Definitely on the top of the Ferris wheel. Many cities now have Ferris wheels year round. Snag one for Valentine’s Day kisses.
- On top of the Eiffel Tower. Either in Paris, Las Vegas or the restaurant in Boston.
- When the roller coaster crests at the top of the climb.
- In the bathtub – who cares if it’s not big enough for two people? The smaller the better.
Fun Places to Lock Lips
- At a bookstore or in the library, the section where nobody wanders.
- Check out a classic or indie film at an intimate theater and ply each other with kisses.
- A lot of relationships start at work, so go for it. Kiss on the desk, in the boss’ office (after hours) or in the elevator.
- Nothing says love like Tiffany’s; kiss in front of the diamond counter.
- In the back seat of the car. The small space promotes intimacy.
- At the art museum, among the Rubenesque paintings.
Romantic Locations for That First Kiss
Kissing by the water’s edge always brings romantic moments.
- At the beach when the tide is out – walk out as far as the waterline and don’t stop kissing until the tide creeps back in.
- At the lake or boat house – if there are none, choose a dock at the lake.
- On the end of a pier at the ocean, when people are gone for the night.
